I do have a real-life version. (An actual mystery) but it's taking a lot of research.
A LOT.

London Park
Midnight
It was a foggy, cold night when the beggar met up with the stranger.
"I want you to kill these two." The beggar's voice rasped, as he handed the stranger a photo. In the photo were two well-dressed men. They would have been called gentlemen, if it were not for the cold sneers on their faces.
"They work at Drake's Institute for Young Violinists, third floor, room 216." The stranger carefully grasped the worn photo with a gloved white hand.
"I will need payment for this."
"Yes, yes, how mu-"
"Not money, sir. I ask for your daughter."
The beggar gulped nervously, "M-my daughter. What do you speak of?"
The stranger glanced down at the shivering beggar, surveying him with his icy, electric blue eyes. "Lord...Carmen1. I ask for your dear violin."
"How..do you know my name?"
The stranger grinned. "I know far more things about you then you wish to know. Now, please hand it over so I may complete the task."
"Will anyone know about this?"
"Not at all...not at all..."
Drake's Institute for Young Violinists, Room 216
Afternoon
The class of Room 216 was sitting quietly in their seats as Avarita2, the music tutor, held an announcement.
"As you all know class, we invited a violinist to perform today. You will all pay attention to the best of your abilities." Avarita clapped his hands as his partner, Invidia3, stepped forward.
"Now introducing the Lance brothers."
The Lance brothers bowed and began to play when the door reopened. A man heavily dressed in black entered the classroom.
Invidia looked quizzically at Avarita. Avarita shrugged and stepped forward to address that man.
"Yes...?" Avarita looked upon the man with disgust. His cloak was dusty and torn at certain areas. The hat was almost coming apart, while the man's boot were caked with mud.
"I heard you were in need of a violinist." The gruff tone of the man didn't match the elegance of the way he took out a carefully polished violin. The wood gleamed with golden light. "Since there are others already playing, I would like to perform for the two of you privately first. Then you may decide whether or I may play for your class."
"Why should we trust you?" Invidia stepped forward grinning maliciously. "You could be just a thief that has stolen that violin."
The man glared at the both of them with surprisingly icy blue eyes. "If my performance...does not suit you...you may take the violin and label me thief." He smiled as he saw the greed in the eyes of the two men.
"Agreed." they both said simultaneously.
The three of them stepped out. The mysterious man carefully shut the door behind them, smirking with triumph.
Drake's Institute for Young Violinists, Storage Room
Evening
"You say that the students found them like this?"
Vindico4 Scottfield asked as he examined the dead bodies of the tutor and his partner.
"Yes...apparantly two or three students went to look for the two when they did not return after the Lance brother's performace."
"Hm...any suspects?"
"Only the students that went to look for him, the Lance brothers, and all the people on this floor that was not seen by others. And...a reporting of seeing a man enter the room by one student."
"A man? How does he look?"
"Dressed in black, worn clothes, and wore a patched up black hat. Few wisps of hair seen, but not the color. And...sapphire eyes that gave him a chilly feeling, the student stated."
"Was he the only one that saw the man?"
"Yes sir."
"Hm..." The detective mused over this new piece of information. Wandering around the small storage room, the detective found boxes, a window, and some ventiolation pipes. Then Vindico saw the card. M.L.D was written on the card.
"Another M.L.D.....The same murderer that killed others..."
His brow creased in worry, Vindico paced back and forth, wondering about this mysterious murderer.

"Will anyone know about this?"
"Not at all...not at all..."
